Sturm do a repro, not that hot though. The other option is trawl the shows and websites looking for the few that turn up.
They tend to command a premium.

Hessen Antique has a web ammunition canister carry strap:

And a tropical messkit strap:

The Sturm tropical straps are altered Czechoslovakian Y-straps.

I've searched everywhere for a set of repro water bottle straps to go on my original 'coconut' water bottle. Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase a set? SOF used to sell them but they have run out and don't plan to sell any more.

Many thanks.

I bought regular cotton canvas water bottle straps from Hessen antique then added the strap to go around it myself with some similar cotton canvas straps I had laying around. It looks good.

Thanks Walter, I'll consider doing that.

Alternatively, according to some books I have on the DAK they actually used the continental leather straps as well, so that's another alternative.

Frank Barone, here in the US, does fantastic DAK web gear. For a pressed wood canteen, he needs the hardware to make up a web version, but its worth the trouble and half as much as Ostfront was getting (and are out of).
