Luftwaffe/fallschirmjäger footwear in africa

Post by hummern4 »

Hello ppl!
Ï have a question about luftwaffe in africa!
I'm doing an impression for a luftwaffe FJ/flieger officer. It doesent matter cus its going to be an "off-front" impression with just shorts and shirt. But what kind of footwear did they use? and what kind of socks? where can I find this cheap in europe or aisia.

kind regards

I admit I'm not too sure about Lufty and Fallschy but Kriegsmarine and standard DAK more often than not wore the knee length brown tropical socks.

cheap ? CHEAP ????

great scotts!!!

No such thing , i prefer to use the term 'reasonably priced' because that can mean anything.

If you want to look right, then pay the price.

well instead you can tell me where to find the things that I asked for or just skip posting posts without any need in the thread.

Of course I want a good impression. But I allready own paratrooper boots and I asked for, yes cheap tropical boots, but from the one I've seen I cant see any big difference in them. And what I meant on finding them on beltring I meant used ones in good quality.

Thank you

Yes and I thank you for that.
But for the other post I or anyone else probably dont find any interest in. I've been reenacting since 5 years and I know very well how stupid you look if you wear things that is wrong. But when I meant cheap I didnt mean I want crap or some ddr winterstiefel for my tropical wear.
Now back to topic and my question.
btw, gowert, did FJ wear the fj boots with the tropical socks to shorts? My impression shorts.

thanks
