DAK / canvas Y-straps

Post by Steiner »

Who makes a decent pair? I bought some from Richard, but unfortunately they're far too long. Despite shortening all straps, I can't use them with MP40 pouches - I have to attach them to the belt, rather than the D-loops of the mag pouches - and I'm 5' 11", not a munchkin!

...and they've arrived. :) I don't know much about DAK webbing - they are nice and sturdy, tan in colour (not green), with black hardware. Is that correct ? My DAK belt is distinctly green, but I'm guessing the colour mismatch is not important ?

lose the black? Do you use a D ring at the back of Richards straps? If so ditch the D ring and bend the attachment into the belt! should be good!!

Hi, I don't use a D-ring, but mine are still too long. A friend is looking up in some books as to whether black fittings are ok or not. FYI, RAU ones have pale blue fittings.
