I'd like to assemble a few signs for our next North Afrika encampment, but am having trouble locating clear photos. Can anyone offer any guidance on signs and locales?

I'd like to be correct, should be no more than a place name and distance in kilometeres correct?

Possibly a sign for a watering location too?

Rather topical - Benghazi, Tripoli, El Alamein and all that.....
Search the Bundesarchiv - North Afrika or Nord Afrika should yield results - Try Tunis as well. Remember to give them that sunbleached look - no dark rain weathered wood as in ETO.

And try using maps or this site, http://www.distance-calculator.co.uk/worlddistances.php to help you be accurate in distances.
I cant count the number of signs I have seen that have impossible distances on them eg Caen 10km> on the same post as <Carentan 15km etc.
