So a question arose in my local group: how many of the FD units were issued the initial waffenfarbe-piped collar tabs, versus the later unpiped green collar tabs? We're just looking for a rough percentage, of how likely it was for a unit to received either. My reading has suggested that the unpiped tabs were predominant - but I would just like to know if anyone has more accurate stats on that "impression". Which regiments received piped, versus those that received unpiped - and which piped regiments later switched over to unpiped, that type of thing.
