These are high rubber boots. They were used for patrols in swamp areas.

Is there a German technical term / "Fachausdruck" for those rubber boots? I suppose they were not officially called "Gummistiefel," were they.

That is right. These are: Watstiefel, Gummi. Normaly used for fisihing.

Early Fielddivisions soldier and a late one he wear tan and water army camo jacket, Luftwaffe helmet and field cap. Maybe a Grenadier of the Hermann Göring divisions.

Some nice shots! Luftwaffe FD pictures are not easy to come across. Creating a FD picture photo album would be a good idea. This certainly is a good start. The best way to tune your kit is by looking at the period photos.

General der Fallschirmjäger Meindl. He was the first who set up Luftwaffe Ground troops in Russia, before the Luftwaffe Field Divisions were established. It could be said he was the inventor of the Luftwaffenfelddivision.
