you gona post a Intro and some pics show us who you are? Lets hear a little more about this group you are starting up. I'm all ears.

Hi Chorlitz
It looks like we are going to start a group portraying the 12th SS HJ. So far we have 8 prospective members ranging from 16 to 48. I can appreciate that the 12th was mainly made up of younger soldiers but there is alot of experience and enthuisiasm from young and old alike. One of the main requirements is for accurate portrayal of the german soldier of the 12SS HJ. We are hoping to wear accurate kit especially were camo is concerned.

We are also looking at trying airsoft for the first time in the coming few months, for a alternative to private battles. Whats your opinion of airsoft?

I would be very interested in joining your 12th SS , Would there be any restrictions on uniforms?? aka only oak leaf or blurred edge.

At the momment we have 4 members but have had intrest from members on the forum. but we have only been up and running since June. we want to get about ten men and keep it as that, That way we can keep an eye on members and keep standards up but mostly keep it kool.

Hi Cumbatcher

As you are aware the 12thSS saw there first action in Normandy. Photos from that period show the 12th mainly wearing burred edge or palm tree smocks. However, there are photos of the 12th in France 1944 wearing oakleaf and plane tree smocks too.
Some photos of the 12thSS show a big variations in uniforms and camo. Therefore it would be good to depict different kinds of camo in our impression. However, some continuatey would be required as we would be representing soldiers at the end of the day.Idealy it would be great if we good wear burred edge at one event and plane tree at another etc.
