Re: Russian F1 Grenades
Cheers pipes. £65 though!!! Thats tres expensive for a post-war lump of metal.
Re: Russian F1 Grenades
I thought £65 was expensive for a deact grenade but i think thats how much they are
fetching, usually Battleflag is reasonable so i would imagine this is the normal price but
not being an expert on Soviet grenades i wouldn't know, anyway good luck with your
search kamerad

Re: Russian F1 Grenades
Righty - the 411 on importing these to the UK (reference Mr Feldjaeger - thank you sir):
Any gun-powder residue would need to be erradicated from the grenade, and the hollow filled with a 'hard setting inert resin'. Further, any firring mechanism (The plunger and firing pin/delay pellet part) would need to be removed and disposed of.
If a proffesional servicing/deactivation of said F1's is possible by you chaps in Finland I would consider moving further with a course of action. However I would contact my local authority and discuss this with them. If you can aquire deactivated or inert grenades with some form of official paperwork then this may make things easier. Otherwise Im going to stick to purchasing the hefty priced F1 grenade located in the UK and then getting resin copies produced.
Regards
Tom.

How does he get them through the border controls at Torfanovka/Vaalimaa? Taking stuff over like grenades (even the 'dead' archelogical ones) surely has terrible potential to go seriously wrong.Peter Bauer wrote:I've got a friend who goes to Russia from time to time and gets F1 grenades.
