Youtube just has been supplied with the 'City of Ruins' film. Its a 3D reconstruction of destroyed Warsaw after the Warsaw Uprising. It was based on photos made from the Liberator bomber overflewing Warsaw just after it was liberated early 1945.
its a shocking and striking experience but well worth watching ! To remind, Warsaw was destroyed in 85%, while the center was almost completely levelled. 180 thousands of people died, that meaning the Omaha Beach happend there during each of 63 days of the Uprising. Germans lost about 17 thousands of casualties.
The film was prepared on the request of the Warsaw Uprising Museum in Warsaw and is currently staged daily in the museum theater.
