Wasn't "Rossler" a German born, English speaking translator for the BFC???

Hello folks,

Just joined Pst!

Anyone know where in the UK I could get the proper sized, embroidered and shade of red, white and blue BFC Union flag Arm shield as seen here: http://www.soldat.com/Abz%20Brit%20Free%20Corps.htm

Thanks in advance.

Hello Crazy Feldgendarme,

Thanks for replying. Yes that Arm shield on SoF looks fairly okay, not sure what size it is though.

I would like my BFC impression to be spot on. Just need the correct Arm shield to complete this.

Yes indeed Mr Medland's website is a treasure trove of BFC info.

Thanks again.

Really good photos Otto. That's an original and interesting take on BFC re-enactment.

Insignia prior to being sewn on. The GB shield is the wrong shape. Have to get one from Cyrus.

Our group is doing an event this May centered around Steiner's retreat to the west during the last week of the war. We will have a couple of BFC guys in uniform.

All of my research so far has turned up nothing on what they were issued other than the basic uniform and greatcoat. Lanser stated that about 8 soldiers were attached to Nordland for a few days or a week assisting in defense building before being withdrawn but no info into if they were issued combat gear. (they must have been used something) Would it be logical to assume to drew cammo similar to Nordland's issue?
