Just a note to mention an inexpensive yet well presented book by Markus Lippl from Schiffer (2012) 80 pages many excellent photos, clear sharp reproduction and an excellent text outlining his career in the LSSAH.
Price is about 315 from Amazon sellers, mine came from "Book Depository" , well worth the small cost , similar to Mark yergers brief biographies of leading men in Das Reich.

Also worth mentioning that Marko Bando's excellent "Breakout At Normandy - The Second Armoured Division in the Land of the Dead." in being reprinted by Heimdal and will be out in June of this year.
(Having had some conatct with the author he has advised me that what is currently on offer via Amazon are magazine type preview of the book of the first half of the book and it is best to wait until the book itself is in print in June.
Mark (Bando) has researched and pieced together from numerous interviews with US veterans the circumstances which led to the death of Christian Tychsen , his reprint will include much more information , about 30 more photos and 8 maps , one which will be worth acquiring.
