That tunic fits very well! That's how an officer impression should look, tailored!

Haha...it wasn't for wamth, the tunic collar was scratching at my neck causing a rash as I did sweat, but with the headover I was fine and it felt "cooler" as the rash was really burning.

I was looking for a scarf but couldn't find one at the vendors...otherwise I agree!

Ha! It was hot, the first day I went to battle with collar done up and steel helmet, wasn't going to do it again, plus, more often then not by late war it wasn't done up in the field ;)

Try ebay thats where i got mine but steer away from paisley patterns they just look
wrong for WW2, try spotted patterns ;-)

When behind the lines yes, but at the front, there's tons of pictures with it being undone. Especially in the warmer zones.

Konzert-Meister wrote:I totally agree with what's been said, your impression is spot on as is. *Uniforms and equipment were also replaced when the old one became worn, threadbare and tatty. Also as a soldier in the Wehrmacht, you had to keep your issued uniform/equipment in good condition. When ever possible, washing and repairing any damage.

Keep up the good work and don't change a thing!
Is the right answer.
