Hello people , i am looking at a DKZ NZ 250 , i have not got any history of these bikes and would like to know if anyone has one and what are the things to look for ect , how reliable are they ? are the parts easy to come by ect .

Hi Hennig,
Same bike as alloy engine NZ 350, just different barrel & piston as far as I know.... probably gearing as well.

I´m proud owner of DKW 350 NZ. Spare parts are not so hard to find (ebay, allegro, aukro etc.) I would recommend you to buy as much complete piece as possible. Most expensive parts are speedo, lamps, spulenkasten and ignition switch (in case of NZ 350 or NZ 350, because 350-1 has ignition directly in spulenkasten). Anyway, DKW is great bike and nowadays still not so expensive as other more well known brands in nearly same cubic capacity.
Anyway, if someone needs some spare parts for 250 NZ, I have for sale rear alluminium (MZAG) brake shield, complete front wheel including brake and brake shield in sand colour and a few more more common parts.
