Yep, these are also listed in KTB's along with ammunition requesitions and rations. Although these are just brief copies for HQ to analyse.

Would be interested to hear how you got round this one?

I`m not expert on the German Army, but could an idea be that he was a medic pre war, left the service, but joined up again with his local unit, when the war broken out?

Unlikely, I suppose he could have been an orderly for a civillian hospital. As this would have been listed in his proffesion in the soldbuch. However, Armies and people like to position themselves where their skills base are, and as medicine was a very rare proffesion, its likely he would have been "pursuaded" or inclined to join a medical unit. Its ok thinking up fanciful things to differ from the re-enactment norm, but this ones a little far-fetched.

What about doing it the other way round, have him as combatant, who retrades to be a medic?

Only problem with that is his not wanting to come out as a medic...
