I have just got hold of two repro resin Torn Eb radios off of Ebay, this is the replica front plate with a few accessories (same bloke).

Has anyone here made one of these up? If so could you tell me dimensions of the boxes, where you got extra details like the carrying handles, cables etc from. All information on how to build these up correctly would be very much appreciated (especially printouts of the scales for the dials).

Cheers,

Andy Ansell

I have two Toen Eb's here with me, early and late and a plastic battery, do you want me to take any pics of the battery or whatnot as refernce? The battery is a Varta 1943, plastic with a plastic label, amazing!

Cheers for that. I would be interested in piccies of the batteries and any othe accessories that go with the set. I am also after better pictures of the handles and latches if that is possible.

You can buy the Two latches from BlitzBikes for $10 each.

The corner reenforcement strips are 25mm wide.

Add a Pullman handle on the top.

The spacers on the top can be made from 3/4" angle iron, cut into 1/4" sections then either welded to the top plate or drill/tap from inside prior to assy box.

The attachment bracket on the side, locks the receiver to the battery/accessory box:

I can not afford one of these, so I drew one in a graphics program. Its my wallpaper on my laptop, and with its tiny speakers it sounds liken the real thing when I play music, morse code and sound effects. And its a lt cheaper.

Don't you ever sleep? Or are you on nights?
I have one of the resin fascias - Reich Crispies sold it to me - He bought two - I never did anything with mine but keep meaning to. I suppose that doesn't help much does it?
