some nice artwork, not by me.

Post by John Wilson »

Here's some nice paintings I found recently on the internet, they look similar to the voller?, volmar?, volsomethingorother ones you see on model boxes but I don't think it's the same artist.
Anyway hope they're to somebodys liking.

Servus Kameraden,

The artist in question is James Dietz.

http://www.jamesdietz.com/bio.htm

Oh...see the guy in the driver seat of Rommel's Horch 15...I met him back in 1977 at the very first reenactment that I attended outside of Saint Louis, Mo.

Horrido!

Thanks for the info on the artist, I did notice the name on a couple of pictures but wasn't sure if it was the artist or if it was some claim of ownership from whoever posted them.

Great paintings but Fook me he does like to cram as much as he possibly can onto the canvas. Reminds me of those games where you have to look at the pic and find as many things as you can begining with each letter of the alphabet.

Some times if you look carefully you can see parts of the subject which have been "borrowed" from photos.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I prefer simpler subjects. Here are a few originals in my collection:
