Pity the photo does not have a date , I could check the listing of those awarded the DK in Gold but there is no guarrentee that I will come up with the right name.
"Here's one I made earlier" - A cased German Cross in Gold by Klein, a lightweight example.
A much copied award , but when you have had the real thing through your hands it is unlikely you will fall for one , the wreath details , the date and the position of the swastika on the award , along with the nature of the outline usually betray a reproduction.
It is one of the most attractive awards to come from the Third Reich - "Hitler's fried Egg".
