A good documentary which holds up well , the Dutch attitude is somewhat at odds with the policy followed by our own MOD , I suppose the land recovery from the inland sea has much to do with this whereas any chance of human remains being present will deny serious individuals any chance of exploring or digging on any WW2 aviation site in the UK.
Whilst this law does protect the history, the sites of missing aircraft and their crews the MOD have no policy of recovering the remains of missing airmen , leaving them undisturbed is their policy.

I was trying to get hold of a Book called Finding the Few , its about this topic and from what I read in the book shop it was a very good read . Sadly I was asked to leave by a member of staff as I had taken to long to look at the book

"Buy before you read".
Might this be it ?

One more which might be a good read.

I have posted a link to this review as I can agree with this reviewer - having proved beyond any doubt the fate of one bomber crew and having my findings confirmed by others in Europe who have looked at claims and losses the RAF Historical Branch still say they are missing and the cause is "unknown" there is quite a bit which is not open to the public. (As yet).
