Could anyone tell me what type of headphones these are. Would they have been used by the military? On each housing it is stamped "NEUFELDT & KUHNKE" and below that "KIEL". I could not find a date anywhere on them, but there is a bakelite code on the bakelite ear pieces: firm code 43, material code S.

Re: German Headphones
Could anyone at least tell me were bakelite codes put on civilian products as well as military items?
Re: German Headphones
Thanks, I appreciate you at least saying you do not know.
Re: German Headphones
Not the issue Dfh type - have been seen in photos being used by civilian services and the Kreigsmarine. Also used/made into the 1950s.
Neufeld & Kuhnke was a subcontractor for Phillips (who made a lot of KM radio equipment), so it would follow that these could be KM headphones, 43 being the year of issue; the S I think may relate to the impedance rating. After the war I think they manufactured marine technology equipment until fairly recently.

Re: German Headphones
I have looked around a bit more and do believe them to be Kriegsmarine headphones. I found another set of headphones online that were identical, except for the cord which was rubber, and they were described as Kriegsmarine. Thank you for your help.
