WW1 Mauser G98 sling parts....plus G98 bayonet

I'm looking for the slider/buckle for a G98 sling...plus interested in any other G98 sling hardware.

Also looking for an early G98 bayonet, to go with a 1915 dated G98.
Prefer good condition, not battlefield relic, and ideally the butcher blade design (or pioneer version); with or without scabbard.
Frog not needed.

ok my g98 sling came from the usa and its a good repro. as for the bayonet, at the 3 counties show they were selling for £250.00 plus and with the saw tooth from £300.00. You need to start trolling militaria fairs to find a decent one.

Re. the sling.
How good is good? Is the adjusting buckle the same as per original slings (with a tear drop shaped rear to lock the slider onto the sling) As in:

& I've rebuilt enough G98 slings to be able to make up a good one for my G98, JUST need the adjusting buckle.

I saw some repro. slings at the Finland "Tamarms" show in February, but they had the wrong construction of slider & the leather surface felt too plastic-like.

Bayonet
Not after paying show/dealer prices for a bayonet...just hoping to get one that may have been part of a collection & that is no longer of use.
Missed a couple at auction a few weeks ago: maybe I'm being fussy, but as the G98 was a bit of a steal I don't want to pay more for the bayonet than the rifle cost.
The other PITA is that there are NO militaria shows within about 100 miles of me, the closest decent one is about 4 hours each way, so I am stuck...
It's actually easier for me to attend shows abroad than any in the UK!! (Sweden is a 2 hour flight from Edinburgh)

If you go on Wehrmacht awards forum Uk member Jenko (Liverpool) has this S98/05 1917, his lowest price is £150 +fees/pp in the for sale section

Many thanks for the link....not only for the sling, which looks ok - but for the retailer...
LOADS of the WW1 items I've been after are on the site, one of the main ones being the WW1 BreadBag, and they also have WW1 pattern canteens, but they're not cheap.

They're the first specialist German WW1 repro. outlet I've seen.
VERY impressed with the kit they offer, though some is strangely missing, such as Jackboots

Hessen are very good,I've got officers shoulder boards from them and I'm waiting for a Prussian officers belt and buckle at the moment,ordered on Friday afternoon and posted the same day.Hessen antique in the USA has more stuff (its the same firm)but the shipping cost to UK is much higher plus the added customs/vat fees on top of that.John

I find that with a lot of German WWI stuff, it's almost the same price just to buy originals if you know where to look as the market for such things is so small. Of course the uniforms are more expensive but equipment and badges...fairly reasonable. Check eBay.de before you buy repros.

Know what you mean.
A few Google image searches lead to Ebay.de.
A lot of the items seemed about the same price as repro versions.

Pity I'm not in mainland Europe for the flea markets too

Seems that the photos & products on the Hessen sites are identical to the photos and product description on the SoF site here in the UK!!

No doubt that means the items all originate from the one factory in China...

The annoying thing is some of what I need are out of stock at both Hessen & SoF
