And make sure your handwriting looks good before you get to inking it in.
I fill mine out in pencil and Sutterlin script as i find it easier to copy than proper old looking handwriting.
I'm on number 4 now - Antony's are ok at the moment, but they seem to be pretty much the same standard who ever you buy from.
Neil.

They all seem to come from the same source - they all either have the same spelling spelling mistakes or the same tippex marks where the original entry has been erased.
I've done a fair few of these, and as everyone has already said work out the owner's history first (get your glasses prescription details if you wear them, and your dental details etc.). I also have a photocopy of each page so I can fill it in before I start to ensure all the right details go in the right boxes! You also don't have to use sütterlin as not all the books used this style of writing, particularly those completed later in the war.
All you need then are about 2 dozen stamps, and away you go...!

handwritting
When you sign your soldbuch under your picture and where you sign your name what form of writting do you use? And could someone post a cpl examples of the different forms?
I just use a signature style.
I'll try and post a couple of pictures, but the scanner is kaput at the moment.

Would this be an acceptable style for the period to sign my soldbuch?
