I might be leaving for Essex early so I may have to wait to get the gear needed, boot's, shirt etc but hopefully it'll be in the near future. Beats being nagged at to get the whole shabang asap while walking slowly towards artillery and catching grape in your hat. I'll bring extra Wernesgruner Pilsner as a thank you

Size? LOL i'm 6ft skinny as a rake at 10 1/2 stone agile-ish..need things to do.. Black hair, blue eye's peachy complexion..my nuckles don't drag on the ground so that's a bonus

"Das Reich" will be attending the Wartime weekend" at NYMR in a couple of weeks. This is our traditional "End of Season" gig.
Its been a successful year, both from a display perspective and from a membership standpoint.
Our ranks are now fuller than ever before, with quality as well as quantity.

A nice fact is the level of European re-enactors we have within the group.
"Das Reich" for example has Brits, Kiwis, Poles, Germans, Greeks and Russians within its ranks.
Hows that for an example of international co-operation!

Well as the season comes to a close, the group has had a lot of success this year and a flood of new membership applications.
Some great shows, terrific displays alongside our sister group FRAU has marked this year as something special for our little band.
2009 has been a good one, so lets see what 2010 has in-store

We have one more public show to do this year, NEAM on the 12-13 December.
If any other groups Northern members would like to kick in with us on this one, please PM me on here.
Lets finish the year with a bang!

Well, thats almost it from Das Reich for 2009.
Knees up with N44 next week, show at NEAM in Decemeber along with other friends, then a break for re-tooling, vehicle maintenace and training.

"Das Reich" will be opening the recruitment book again soon, so if any interested guys and gals want to be part of something special, drop me a PM on here.
2010 will see a new website, some new members, a new pioneer section and hopefully some new vehicles.

"Das Reich" are up an running for 2010.
This weekend see's the group training at our new North-East location.
Hopefully, the training will blow off the rust and cobwebs of winter, provide a good platform for the new members, and bring the whole group up to speed in readyness for the coming season.

The group is still looking for new members, especially those with a specialist interest, and any of our European friends interested in being part of the unit.
