Our aim is to research and portray as accurately as possible the rifle men of an armoured reconnaissance unit within the elite 'Grossdeutschland' Division of World War II.
Despite a recent management shakeup, we are now back on track and looking for motivated recruits for 2008.
To find our more visit our website at...

Glad you like them mate, the black smoke one in the woods was at Ashby this year.

Well that's it for another season.
Just thought i'd share some pics that Nick Halling snapped of us at Dukes Covert which was our last event of 2008. A top weekend was had by all, despite some pretty miserable, cold weather. It was also the first battle outing for 6 of our new lads and significantly our first outing doing our new 'PzGr Regt 304' impression to enable the group to fit in at Western front themed events should we need to, without having to cover our GD insignia with camo smocks etc.
Although this season is done there is plenty in the pipeline for next season. A new association to join, some old shows, some new and some specifically aimed at the 65th Anniversary of D-Day and if all goes to plan - 2009 may also be the year that GD Recon finally become motorised
Also a reminder that we are always looking for the right 'kind of chap' to join the group - if you like the look of what we get up to, please contact us for more information.
See you in the field next year!

Never mind being a leg end!!!!! When's that 222 gonna be ready? The Schreck was incredible - the MG34 was unbelievable - Can't wait to see the results of your fabrication skills on this long awaited SpahWagen..... Will it be grey or Yellow?

Why thank you kind Sir, I'd love to roll her out next week, but I'm afraid there's a long way to go yet. As you know it's been on my to do list for quite some time now, but hopefully this coming year we can roll her our into the day light. As for the final paint job, defo early war panzer grey, in keeping with GD's general early war look.

Credit where it's due Sime - and it will be refreshing not to mention readily identifiable to see a Panzergrau Vehicle amongst the sea of Normandy Camo and Dunkelgelb.Kurt Volkmar wrote:Why thank you kind Sir, I'd love to roll her out next week, but I'm afraid there's a long way to go yet.
