Suitable 1930s female names with surnames (German)
Yes I'm still deciding Michaela anyways on my hunt for who I will be I came across a rather extensive list thats taken from membership applications to the NS-Frauenshcaft/Deutsches Frauenwerk. Thought it maybes a) useful if anyone else is thinking of a vintage moniker as theres plenty to pick and choose from and jumble about into something more unique and b) just plain interesting

Wartime German womens names
Hi Dink,
Worked and lived in Germany for years and have come across some good old names, not many are popular names now in Germany as they are old-fashioned but were popular back in the 1930's. Some you could check out are Frieda, Irma, Silke, Sigmar, Willamina, Gertrude. They are good old fashined names and would of been in use a fair amount in the 1940's.
Hope that helps.
Danny

I was reading about Reinhard Heydrich a while ago and I read that his wife was called Lina von Osten, I thought that was a nice name so... I took part of it
