Loughbrickland

Post by Tychsen »

Loughbrickland , Co. Down - 1st day a total washout - raining cats and dogs.
A pity as there was a good turnout and the event was well supported , Joe Public largely stayed away on account of the weather. :(

2nd day also a washout , which is sad for those who organised it , a good turnout - a pity about the awful weather.

I would concurr james , the show was an excellent opportunity to get to meet some of the other groups and vehicle owners and the range of dislays was impressive , The WLHA grouping were impressive as were the wwiiexperience. the vehicle owners were brillient and took the time to educate the public in the histories and uses of their vehicles . the only down turn was the appalling weather of which the organisers of the umvc had no contol over , however meeting bill , maud and the rest of the UMVC was a worthwhile experience and enjoyable and i would like to thank the UMVC for the hospitality , and welcome that we received.

None of the cats but here is one of the dogs under close arrest , Dave being the man keeping an eye on her.
I suspect that she is a well trained Russian dog - throw a stick grenade and she will bring it right back.

Not a "Ray" of sunshine in sight but I did manage to capture this one ( A "Robbie") in the form of a jpeg.

Francie had no doubt given his disable Tiger a ticket.

One man managed to get going in between the cats and dogs.

So bad was the rain that the Russians never moved from their positions.
A very well turned out crew .

In between the showers two guys find time to compare notes.

On the day the dog wardens friend 10x80 a powered leitz.

A very fine jeep , delighted to discuss optics with Stephen Dixon , one of the part owners.

Don't be taken in by the seemingly reasonable conditions , you are looking at the eye of the storm.
