Re: Kriegsberichter Cuff-Title Question

Botty, and was it valid also by Uffz., did they also change to grey as fast like Offz. ? I don't know. The quote reads a little as a world weary comment on officers who could afford to change ( and had to buy their own uniform) getting all excited about something that the others found unimportant. ...

Re: Kriegsberichter Cuff-Title Question

As to which arm the Propagandakompanie cuff title was worn on, see my earlier thread: http://www.panzergrenadier.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=10174 quite clearly showing it on EITHER arm in wartime photos held by the Bundesarchiv. So anyone being adamant it was worn on the left only is incorre...

Re: MG42/53 accessories

I imagine the bolt will be a section 5 part unless de-activated when it is going to look very odd as a spare part.

Re: Kriegsberichter Cuff-Title Question

Both of those do seem to have parts of the cuff title 'sagging' away from the sleeve. At the top at the hand edge nearest the body on the top photo and underneath the arm in the lower photo.

Dagger hanger/troddeln/portapee

Can anyone help me to make sense of the Wehrmacht side arm knots? I want to get hold of a set suitable for use by a Heer officer so what colour(s) should I be looking for and does anyone have a source of repo. ones? It is for my Sonderfuhrer walking out uniform but I suspect that complicates matters...

Are you 100% sure it is original? Sounds like a poor repo.

Re: Kriegsberichter Cuff-Title Question

That was an intriguing point about the cuff title often being slipped on rather than sewn on. Maybe that explains the fact that original photos show the title being worn on either sleeve. The title was just slipped onto the easiest arm for the wearer. Presumably that will differ for left and right h...

Signal magazine article

Does anyone happen to have an online link to the original article discussed in this link?

http://psyopsinsignia.pbworks.com/w/pag ... 20Kompanie

I know I have found the full, original article with all the photos somewhere in the past but I can't find it again

Thanks.

Re: German short boots

wire wool and vinegar??? If you want your boots to start rotting away from the acidic qualities of vinegar, have fun buying new footwear. There is no shortcut to getting a pair of neutral leather boots black, it was done by daily use and lots of dubbing and?or polish. In that case why does immersio...

You and your group have already 'worked' with me. I would love to do some more with you as your group standards make for some excellent shots.

Keep me informed of your upcoming events. Maybe I will have a trip to Holland?

Can't guarantee all pre/war time but these came in a job lot where others were priced in RM (all these ones since sold). £5 each except the Scho-ka-cola which is £20 (plus postage costs). http://imageshack.us/a/img171/9092/cimg5408d.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img43/2770/cimg5409.jpg http://ima...

Re: WW2 German Sheet Music?

Do you have the composers of the songs? If yes just try going into your local music shop and ask them (musical instrument shop not HMV)? That's worked for me in the past.

Failing that do you have a German contact who can do the same but in Germany?
