Thanks, Jeff!
What is your organization affiliation? Chad joined KGvR for certain events. Our LW Truppe is a mix of Flak, FD, and FJ. Our Flak-Vierling is still under construction.

Rheinmetall Flak 39 3,7cm: Who has one?

Achtung, achtung! I would like to know how many of these export model 3,7cm Flaks are being used in the hobby. I know 2nd Panzer in Chicago/Midwest and Frundsberg in NJ/NY have them. The cannon itself should be the same 8-round Loading Tray fed cannon used in the Flak 18 3,7cm. The mount itself diff...

Re: PINTLE MOUNT MG34 HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

suggestions then Tom ??????????? - really want to do something with an mg!!!!!!!!! Yes, Fritz. Sell the MG34 and buy a Browning. I think there is a forward MG mount for US Jeeps that is used with the front window folded down. Or, remove the passenger side glass pane and deploy a 1919A6 on the hood....

Re: PINTLE MOUNT MG34 HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can get the AA extension for the Yugo MG42 LAfette, replace the MG42 stud with the MG34 U bracket, turn a post to mount on the running board. You may have to shorten the AA post to fit the area intended. AA Extension was $100, $50 for the MG34 U bracket, and whatever for the running board post. ...

Re: Complete FJ wrongness

FJ wearing kneepads on the ground: I've seen some pics of an FJ MG34 team at a bridge in Holland wearing them. What was old is new again, look at the US Military in the Sandbox, kneepads and elbow pads are useful during MOUT. They are listed in the clothing issue inventory in the SOldbuch. I don't k...

Re: PINTLE MOUNT MG34 HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds daft but as you know Rangers were trained in the use of enemy weapons and were scroungers!!! Wanted to mount me mg34 on the passanger side of my Dodge wc51!!!! Dude! Don't do that. If you did, just go with a Browning M1919A4. I don't think "Rangers" would be very impressed with the...

Re: PINTLE MOUNT MG34 HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A bunch of Bundeswehr MG Vehicle Mounts were dumped on the market a few years ago. MH Moto has MG34 "shoe" bracket. The BW mounts are different from the WWII tank commander' AA MG mount, but, its a starting point. You have a mil-spec heavy duty assembly, not some pot-metal junk made from s...

Re: Sd.Kfz.302

I had a hundred photos of the Aberdeen Goliath, but lost them when my harddrive broke in January. Can use the Dragon 1/6 model for reference. Go with 18 or 20 ga sheet for the side panels with the raised sections. You can make a primative stamping die using 3/4" oak, and a 20ton shop press. The...
