Military Harbour
I got this Luftwaffe officers greatcoat from an outfit called Military Harbour (link below). It is a perfect replica in almost all respects and made from good quality heavy wool of the correct colour. The fur collar is my own addition. I have previously purchased a Luftwaffe officers mess dress unif...

Does anybody know what has happened to the below UK reenactment groups? Their websites have disappeared. Are they defunct?

SS-GB
A film adaptation of Len Deightons excellent novel SS-GB was long overdue and I am enjoying watching the BBC series. But my goodness, where are they getting their uniform advice from? The leading baddie SS Standartenfuhrer Dr Huth appears to be wearing an Iron Cross 1st class in place of a Knights C...

M42 Luftwaffe Greatcoat
I have looked everywhere to find an M42 greatcoat (the one with the big collar) in Luftwaffe blue-grey fabric. A few vendors offer a Heer one, but no one offers a LW one. Any ideas anybody?

Re: Wearing the restored Ledermantel.
munchen-mod-small.jpg This is a shot of me wearing my restored original ledermantel (c. 1937). The cap is by Michael Janke. The gloves are post war Luftwaffe pilots gloves, but they are identical to the war time ones. The scarf is a blue polka dot silk one of the pattern popular with Luftwaffe (and...

Re: Officer gloves
The ESKA ones are good but very expensive. I bought a pair after searching widely for a faithful reproduction of officers dress gloves. They were the closest thing I could find. You might also try these; http://www.leatherglovesonline.com/np/MensGloves-ByPrice-100-125-cs3117-mens-formal-suede-gloves...

Re: Bergmuetze buttons source
Try here; http://www.epicmilitaria.com/m43-field-cap-buttons.html. They have silver ones. I bought some here before and they were fine. I have also bought blue Luftwaffe ones somewhere, but I cant remember where. I have seen the brown ones, again I cant remember where, but if I do I will let you know.

My Original Ledermantel Restored
I attach some before and after photos of my restored original ledermantel. The coat was in very good condition to start off with, and without any serious damage, considering it is circa 79 years old. However, it was worn and scuffed, and the dye had worn off in places, particularly the arms. Here is...

Re: M43 repro LW caps, what and where to choose ?
The one illustrated is an Erel (Robert Lubstein) made in Germany. I have a two-button version of this and think the material is a little thin. The Extra-Klasse products from James Brown made by Michael Janke are much better but significantly more expensive. You could also try Luftwaffe Supplies (Chr...

My Original Ledermantel
I have just obtained an original WW2 officer's Ledermantel. It has been used quite a bit but is in overall very good wearable condition without any significant damage. It is size 50 and fits perfectly over my uniforms. I show it here alongside my Sturm Miltech reproduction (IMO the only half way dec...

Re: A Few of Me
Actually, I'm a pretty good poker player, I win quite a bit at it. If the context of the photos called for a different expression then I would do a different expression. Would you be laughing if the Fuhrer was telling you how he was going to turn the war around with his new wonder weapons, when you ...
