Re: europa.eu/rapid/press-release_
If they get their way it will be the start of things to come, anything military will be considered in the future, radios, vehicles uniforms etc sneaked in by our gutless government.

Re: Need Some Help With a Non Running CJ750
Whether high or low compression the bike should still start just means you will have less power. Still work on the carbs, I reckon at a guess you have the needles set wrong or your carbs still have crap in them.

Re: Need Some Help With a Non Running CJ750
You say you have it near running, and a spark, it would be a matter of balancing the carbs up and getting the mixture right, and tweek the advance timing a fraction if need be. Also remember that the needles in the throttle can be adjusted up and down. You are most probably thinking the worst of thi...

Re: CJ750 combo insurance
Thanks for the tip but these are the guys I tried today, they said they never heard of a CJ750 or a Chang Jiang they also wanted to know if it had a military connection which I tried to explain and told them the history of the BMW R71 and M72. Anyone with a CJ750 who are insured with this company.

Re: BMW tag rivets.
After careful research I have found that pot rivets were not used on original bike's, they used tubular rivets and set with a flaring tool. Rivets for casing tags for engines and frames with no access to form the other side used screw type rivets which you used a pre-drilled hole and punched in the ...

BMW tag rivets.
I noticed that Ural and CJ 750 combinations that are Germanised are usually badged up with BMW tags. Just wondering if the pot rivets which are usually used to secure the tags in place are the correct type originally used or did they use another rivet method or screws instead. Anyone know what was u...

Re: Battery type for CJ 750

Battery type for CJ 750
Manage to pick up a 1957 CJ750 with side car for a very good price. The combination has as starter motor and is 12volts, my question is, what should the amps be for the battery. I was pondering getting a dry cell type and a dummy vintage battery cover. Any advice from Krad CJ750 owners.
