For Normandy you wouldnt see much paint under all the bushes , trees, general vegetation covering the vehicles

but as Hoffy said bigger vehicles tanks , Jagdpanzers, etc for ambush type paintwork

Its a hobby which u do for enjoyment and same as any other hobby you need to do research on it
