Re: Michael Gaißmair winter training 2012

Very enjoyable event as always :D Particularly enjoyed the the evening at the campfire, but does anyone know what the song about the Finnish comrades was called? I believe there was both a German and Finnish version of it... "Kauan on kärsitty vilua ja nälkää" (For so long have we suffere...

Re: Songs of Collaboration Legions

A lot of the Finnish ones are just regular finnish military march songs... are those what you are looking for or songs of the volunteers...?

Re: aged gear.

Considering that I was ordered by my leutnant to repair some of my issue items in the army - this being in the year 2008 - I would imagine they certainly repaired some items themselves as well.

Re: Sweaters with round neck

My mum made me one, turned out to be too warm to be worn anywhere, unless just posing and standing outside. Did some logging wearing it and the undershirt in -30 degree weather and felt toasty :/

So don't trust your mums/grannies too much :D

Re: Show us you!

We did this in the army as well with the PKM & LMG rounds... never really had problems, besides them flapping around if not tucked under something.

(Mostly because the army was too poor to give us anything else to carry them in... since it was secondary weaponry for us)
