Re: MG34 markings

"dot" is the three letter code for Waffenwerke Brünn AG, Werk Brünn Czecholslovakia, this was the only manufacturer to continue production of the MG34 up to the end of the war, and the star symbols indicates that it was subsequently used by the Israelis. 4875 b is the serial number and ori...

Re: DOT 44 CAMO SS TUNICS?

There is an interesting page on the ATF website regarding "44 Dot" and shows this photo of the variety of colours encountered. http://www.atthefront.com/german/uniforms/images/ss44dotuniforms/44_dot_shades_comp.jpg So I guess you can say it's correct but whether it was widely issued is any...

Re: DOT 44 CAMO SS TUNICS?

I have a SMW set and it's very good but Gavin militaria seem to do a nice copy, although I haven't seen it up close. http://www.gavinmilitaria.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_36_105&products_id=71&zenid=d0tkbarlrckmu81ddnncpbh893 Soldier of Fortune have the light tone SMW on...

Re: Oak B Smock and Helmet cover

That's Oak A, it lacks the "rings" of Oak B (sometimes it's referred to as "ringed Oak")

Panther Store, SMW and ATF are some of the best, if not the best out there and I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction regarding the most authentic.

Re: Oak B Smock and Helmet cover

I don't think ATF or Panther Store have Oak B at the moment, at least I haven't seen any on their websites. SMWholesale do Oak B but I wouldn't recommend ordering directly from them, only through their eBay store. 1944 Militaria also have Oak B. http://www.smwholesaleusa.com/ww2-german/smocks http:/...

Re: ral number for vehicle grey finish

ral 7021 would be correct up until approx mid 1943 when they changed to ral 7028 dunkelgelb (dark yellow).

Re: ral number for vehicle grey finish

If you mean "dunkelgrau/dark grey" or "panzer grey" then it's ral 7021.

"Selling because I need a larger size"
You can fit a 58cm or 59cm liner in a size 66 shell if that helps!

Re: Reproduction Torn Fu d2

I'm currently trying to build a repro Torn FuD for our groups display, I have the casing made and have tried ( unsuccesfully ) to build a face plate from scratch. Would appreciate any help locating a resin faceplate. I've looked on E bay and put a few posts on other forums but not having much luck ...

Re: SS and which camo and Zelt

SMW camo is some of the best (if not the best) available. I'm sure RAU has stocked their stuff in the past but not sure if he still does. Soldier of Fortune is a SMW stockist though so you would save on postage and tax from US http://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/shop-re-enactment-german-ww2-clothing-s-m-wh...

Re: Wanted P-38 deact and holster and MG pouch also barrel c

SoF have P38 holsters on sale atm, I haven't seen them up-close but they might be worth a look: http://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/p38-holster-hard-shell-black-leather-1st-run-product,15950 You could also try Zib for MG34/42 accessories: http://www.zib-militaria.de/epages/61431412.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Sh...
