Re: Use of Anorak by Fallschirmjäger

I think it would depend entirely on the context of it being worn, i.e. period, unit, location...

Or do we not bother with that, these days?

Re: Post traumatic stress.! Not this Guy

A good book indeed!

Incidentally my paternal grandfather met Captain/Major Hargreaves whilst staying at the Ritz just after the war. A memorable and impressionable man by all accounts!

Pretty good to deal with. His Soviet stuff is of exceptional quality and turn around is about 6 weeks (2/3's of that is postal time). Unfortunately you have to pay via Western Union but he's a decent chap to deal with. Incidentally, if ordering, use his Russian site translated through Google (etc) r...

Re: Janke Springerhöse

Still for sale. I have been told they are in fact made by Lost Battalions, but I cannot say for sure.

Eitherway, £50 INCLUDING P&P and I'm also open to offers.

They're £20 cheaper than Richard Underwood's and rather nicer so grab yourself a good buy ;)

Re: Other outfits-impressions??

Peiper, ah interesting, I don't think I have seen that photo before! Would you be able to upload it to photobucket and send it via a PM or somesuch? Saves clogging up this thread with our French crap! ;) Never heard of the 4 Commando elements parachuting in on Overlord. Are you sure that you're not ...

Re: Other outfits-impressions??

Many thanks, PD! The cheque is in the post as ever ;) Peiper; hope this doesn't come across as sounding rude or snarky (I'm not always like that, honest haha) but where did your references come from in regards to Free French commandos wearing the FFL wing, SAS wing or British parachute wing in numbe...

Re: Other outfits-impressions??

Which troop are you looking at doing, Peiper? I'd ditch the FFL wing though, or if you're insistent on it then move it to the correct side  Pip. P.S. Here's a little Free French Commando from 4 or so years ago, have rejigged a few things since then. http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n33/petyo...
