Re: Renishaw hall 2009
Quite agree, matey - Katie doesn't sound hopeful at the moment but I know she'll do her best for everyone as she's another one that thinks the cowboys and indians should be together (even if we differ on who's the white hats and who's the red skins :D). If ANYONE has any other ideas as to where we c...

Re: Renishaw hall 2009
And it's going nowhere now - we should have done the BUF rally on the lawn when we had the chance
Never mind, Katie's trying to get everyone an invite to Sledgemere. I'm sure we'll all find something again guys - don't lose heart in the downseason.

Re: Painting the town ... white
Thanks for the resonse patrick. These skis spent a long time in a scottish pub and were covered in an overly heavy dark yacht varnish and a layer of nicotine that made them just palin unpleasant to handle when they arrived. Under the flaked areas of the skis, there is good evidence of this pair havi...

Painting the town ... white
More accurately, any ideas what paint type I should use to bring my dark varnished 43 dated skis back to the white finish they once had (it's in the grain of the wood under the varnish) so they were white once
Thanks in advance, guys.

Re: Malvern Militaria Fair November
Hi Paul, decisions yeah i have noticed a lot of this over the past few weeks i put it down to some people doing to much the last couple of years and the ever rising cost of fuel and living which i believe is causing many to question if they can continue reenacting, i also believe the same thing wil...

Good to hear the knee's on the mend - good progress if you're driving with it, matey. Don't know what's planned this year amongst our lot. Getting a decision is like trying to nail Jelly to the wall   If we don't catch up with you there, be good to see you doing more than hobble in 2009. ...

Many thanks for the welcome. You know I could really go off some people, Patrick - if they didn't have such a fantastic collection of mountain equipment  Seriously, I'm in awe and envy - it's not just your windproofs that are green  :D What a shame you're not in the UK - you'd be a one ma...

Re: Why did you choose the Gebirgsjager impression ?
Thanks gents - one of the funny things is how close so much of the british mountain troopers equipment was to Axis gear. It was either modelled on the pre-war Norwegian stuff or on later Gerbirg equipment - it makes identifying the British Mountain trooper quite difficult at first glance. So much so...
