Re: Fury Film Release (UK) - 22/10/2014
Well I thought the first two-thirds of the film was well up to scratch, and I DID appreciate seeing genuine German kit instead of the usual rubbish painted grey with oversize crosses on!! The opening scene with the wrecks I had fun checking off what was there.... but then I'm a tank nut anyway. :D T...

Re: White washing a helmet for medic
Artist's gouache would fit the bill - looks like whitewash if brushed on roughly, but can be cleaned off with washing up liquid and gentle scrubbing. Will certainly last the weekend!

Re: Hinges
Hi Kev, I've normally struggled to find the right catches and handles, rather than the hinges! A butt hinge such as you show should be readily obtainable from a decent hardware store locally to you? Of course the actual dimensions may be the problem for you but there are dozens of sellers online so ...

Re: Question on food container liner
My understanding is they started out with aluminium liners and the enamelled versions were a late war expedient, similar to aluminium water bottles giving way to enamelled varieties at war's end... it doesn't really help date your example though, not sure if manufacture continued at all post war? Ce...

Re: Inner tube band...
Go to a tyre fitting workshop and see if they have any punctured truck inner tubes of a suitable size. I had a hunt in my local ones disposal skip and pulled three different sized ones out and luckily one was ideal. If you cut in cross-section (i.e in a radial fashion outwards from the centre) you c...

Re: Looking for vehicles
We don't have a website for the vehicle building! Too busy making customer orders! We do plan one, it's just not a high priority when we are snowed under with work. Our builds are very much in the public domain anyway... Sturmpanzer itself is a reenactment group based around armour, the building is ...

Re: Looking for vehicles
Several members of Sturmpanzer work with HCM to build very good and well engineered StuG, PzIII and armoured car replicas to order on modern donor chassis. Other projects are also under development. Contact WTAC by PM on here for further info as he generally is the first port of call for potential c...

Yes, £1850 was the Milweb asking price for the OPs set that he queried... wonder if it fetched that? RJ still have the Lafette 34 listed at £2350...
