I just made it for the WWII enthusiast to pick-up a good deal with a Craigslist-like approach. It will be undergoing some major aesthetic changes as I get more time. Please help get th...

Re: Show us you!
You are confusing issue with wearing. I can post pics of German soldier wearing captured kit, and I can post pics of german soldier wearing 44 dots with jackboots and german soldiers with caputured guns. Please send pictures to jordan-vanicek@comcast.net of captured kits and Dot44s with jacks. I've...

You may get lucky at flea markets in your area. That's where most refurbished shells come from anyway. I wouldn't pay over $125 for one though.Reinhard Litzen wrote:Well its the cost thats bother me the most. But If I most then I most!

Re: Ant-z WTF
Really? On a par with what? Other really bad and inaccurate pea dot? How do you get around the fact the print is 50% too large? Do you wash it hot to shrink it down? The color looks on par with originals I've looked at. What does the enlargement of the print have to do with what I said about...

I have a pair of the ant-z ones and I agree, they look bad color-wise when you get them, but with a wash or two the color looks on par.

Why is it that whenever I see a fallschirmjaeger, they are always standing in that ridiculous pose when they shoot.

That's pretty impressive! Good work. I look forward to seeing the rest of the equipment. I may need to invest in this or send you some money and some parts to do for me!

Re: To blue or not to blue? That is the question.
If you re-blue it, it will lose most of it's collector value. Pesonally, I'd leave it. Not because of all the "destroying history" BS, but with use, metal will lose it's blueing anyway. There were about a billion bayonets made before and during the war, so if you do re-blue it, I wouldn't...

To blue or not to blue? That is the question.
It all started when I had an original K98 scabbard that I got with a ton of black spray paint on it. Naturally, I wanted it off. When I got it off, there was practically no bluing left on it (as was expected). The thing was silver color. I bucked up and bought the Brownell's OxphoBlue Cream and was ...

That was an enjoyable short video. It is also good because it helps you develop a mental image of the gebirgsjagers.
