I would say it's also partly due to laziness these days. People don't want to read or write anymore they just want to know right away. How they aquire the information this way...I dunno.

Soldat! The officer would address the Feldwebel as Feldwebel Müller. Herr is for superiors or addressing an adult male in the public like Herr Müller. As for salute, you mean by a formal greeting such as "Guten Abend Herr Oberleutnant" or a general greeting to your fellow Kameraden like th...

Haha...I say 4 years for a pair of 60 buck shoes are pretty good especially when I get at them...remember I didn't use them for just reenacting but pretty much every weekend in the fall and spring. Anyway, no use arguing over cheap boots....it ain't worth it

Just to cause a pain in Halle's @ss, I have to disagree with one thing...everyone says the £60 pair of Sturm boots are crap but I've gone through only 2 pairs and they lasted each around 4 years and mostly I used them as outdoor work boots. If you replace the nails with steel ones and no great well....

At work we make targeting systems...the target knows if it's being shot at by sound, so we fire blanks to simulate a miss in the workshop. Our safety distance is 10m and no adaptor.
