Interesting there Herr Major,
Maybe you can share with us a larger and clearer photo of the straps next to each other? Do you intend on making more reproductions?
Thanks,
Christian

Re: Luftwaffe '45 - Fall of Berlin impression
Not entirely sure for army topical uniforms that were part of the DAK. However collar braid was more common on Heer uniforms than LW and KM ones.

Re: Luftwaffe '45 - Fall of Berlin impression
as Arthur said, collar tresse on HBT uniforms was usually not applied. reason being that summer, as well as tropical uniforms, were only issued temporary and the following user would be unlikely to be an unteroffizier anyway. same reason that we don't see collar tabs on LW tropical uniforms.

Re: Any Kreigsmarine reenactors
i'm interested to complete the "Tropical Trilogy" by doing one for KM. Possibly a coastal artillery one, but tropical uniforms are very modular and can fit any scenario. Pity about the u-boat group.

Re: Pea Dot Uniform
Hi there,
assuming that you're doing 12th SS, many photos show the young men in complete sets. Personally, I would go for a matching one.

Re: Officer Tunic 42R
Practically all officer's uniforms were tailor modified / made for the best and a proud fit. What I hate most about officer's impressions are ones which are half-baked uniform, which does not highlight the status of an officer: long arms, broader shoulders, bad fit. I would suggest you pay attention...

Re: Luftwaffe '45 - Fall of Berlin impression
Looks good. if you want you can also opt for an m44 pattern trousers and feldbluse as well. LW breadbag can be of any colour at this point, not necessarily blue. A greatcoat, without collar tabs, can also complete the impression, depending on the weather. as for trade badges? Sound locater could be ...

Re: Kriegsmarince Küstenartillerie
Hi Sjoerd, I've been eyeing some KA pieces recently and I have seen both examples. I come to understand that this is similar to the army. The backed ones are pre-early war, where as litzen sewn to the collar itself, are mid-late war. I haven't seen any original litzen alone. If I come across somethi...
