Re: Show off your reenactment helmets!
My helmet is a re-issued m35,SE,''66'' headsize 59. It has a factory finish, feldgrau with as texture aluminumoxide. It requires some skill to find the right dose and to apply but for us re-enactors not impossible to do :) The best results you get by working with a spray gun with compressor. Decal is...

Re: tank destruction badge
I think it's coincidence that you see them with the iron cross 2nd class...remember that the cross 2nd classe was common especially at the end of the war. Tank destroying badge is an award of it's own. Remember the the little hj boy helmut Hebner,he had his anti-tank badge first,AFTER that he...

Re: Wanted: M42 helmet, picky about the maker.
exactly!
I'll think for most re-enactors not that important
The Q had a bit more status in that time,H.Himmler preferd the m35 and m40
from that factory he wanted the best. They were slightly rounder on top and a few
gramms more of steal was used compared with other Herstellers.

Hi Yannis, it will be hard to find Quist m42 helmet shell size''66''
I am looking myself for about 6 years for such a shell.
The ET and CKL helmet shells are much easier to find though...
I personally always get them from ebay.de militaria, helme und kopfbedeckungen.
