Re: Panzer uniform Something Odd

I have heard it was within regulation to have the service shirt collar to be like that when the collar of the feldbluse in this case (Panzer Wrap) had the top button, unbuttoned. To keep the wool collar from chafing the persons neck. But was not regulation to do so when the collar was completely button...

Re: 1944 Militaria M40/M42 feldgrau helmet paint.

I've painted a dozen or more helmets using 1944's paint. Never had an issue. Make sure your surface is clean and degreased. I normally spray 3-5 coats on it and after a few days of drying, bang and nick it up a bit (so it doesn't look like it came off the parade ground). I then rub it down with lam...

Re: 1944 Militaria M40/M42 feldgrau helmet paint.

Unless you bake it in a very low oven it will take a good week or two for cellulose paint to harden off properly. I prime my stuff and then leave in an airing cupboard for a few days after painting. 1944 Militaria M40/M42 feldgrau helmet paint.

I recently bought a can of 1944 Militaria's helmet paint for a restoration I am doing and I applied the paint and I let it completely dry and it chipped so bad I had to strip the helmet again and now I have to get my own paint custom made....Has anyone else had this happen before?
Thanks

Re: Gavinmilitaria, any good??

the jumble with the sizes from Gavin still confuses me, I am a US 38Long the long is important since I am 6'2 So a 42 in Gavins size would be about correct? Their sizes are off a bit.I ordered a 46r and it was like a 44r...It fit but it was snug.....Best to probably order a size bigger or message h...

Re: Gavinmilitaria, any good??

Re: Unsere Mütter, Unsere Väter... the german band of brothe

I thought the movie was great!..The only flaw I seen was most soldaten were not wearing A-frame bags with their A-frames...But that is not a huge deal....Overall.I have to give it two thumbs up!
