That was the standard ZELT

They did have khaki/green 4-man mountain tents.

Re: Gebrigsjäger and Bergfuhrer badges

Would consider a mountain battle in N.M. if we get enough interest (and plan a 3-day roadtrip!)

My wife is from Berlin and we will be visiting her parents there. We leave this Friday!

Tschuß!

Re: Accurate language?

My unit is learning German. I use only German commands in the field. Many other reenactors have said it is more realistic when GERMANS are speaking German! The first time we used German only, the Brits said it was a whole new atmosphere they felt while fighting us. I admit though, it is hard to main...

Re: Gebrigsjäger and Bergfuhrer badges

Heerespfarrer Heinz... It's too bad this event wasn't posted sooner... I would have love to have attended from California with my jagers... I will be back from my trip to Germany but I won't be able to get that far with the few days off from work... If I had known about it sooner, I could have "...

Re: DAK Uniform?

I just picked up a uniform from Hessen. The pants are a good olive brown, but the coat is a bit on the green side.. I'll post a picture in a day or so.. my kamerad had it to sew on the insignia and will return the coat to me in a couple days.

Yeah.. HEY ZACK.. I can say for Zack, he does it right! He linked up with my gebirgsjager at our OZENA event in February and definitely added to the AUSGEZEICHNET battle. Authentic kit, cooking, and I love his "boombox"!

We have a spot for you and Ron on our battleline anytime!

Re: General poll for gasmasks

When I DO CARRY it.. original mask in original canister... I agree it is possible that some "Stored" their masks with the baggage.. having it ready for inspections etc.. but not knowing when the feldgendarmes or non-coms might get a wild hair.. I would tend to think the men had their masks...
