I think the VW transmition would be up to the job, and adapter kits to mate your V8 to the VW gearbox are around.
But surely the brit rear engined scout cars of the 60's and 70's are a goos staring point as far as the trans goes?

Now a few of these have been built maybe now is the time to tackle a rear engined one? the biggest issue with these land/rover based ones is the drivers postion, having the engine at the front moves the driver so far back into the crew compartment that building a realistic interior is really out of ...

have you faed your HK green step in ? one of the things that puts me of them is that they look too dark on the website but your one seems alot lighter which is alot better It is faded, but just by time nothing more, its a few years old now! but dont the current Hong Kong smocks feature the correct ...

Thats amazing! I know that in the "old" fjr6 (Andy Clark) you couldnt wear a jump badge until you had done a jump, I think they used to jump in the uk as free polish para's with denison smocks over the fleigerbluse (eagle has landed stylee) and they would wear german kit at texel in hollan...
