The last time I spoke to you about this event was like 6 months ago Paul. And its fantastic to see how much AFRA has progressed with it alongside the supportive Museum team and re-enactment groups. Am looking forward to seeing the images, and gutted I wont be seeing it live on-the-day.

Re: Children and re-enactment?
I think there is alot of naivety in some peoples attitudes towards dressing their kids up as HJ/BDM etc. They cant seem to look beyond the "dressing up"/promenading factor and comprehend the de-facto implications.

Re: Children and re-enactment?
What a bogus argument: Its ok to dress kids up as political fascist Second World War pawns because - hey - at least they arent going round wearing hoodies, assaulting old pensioners...LIKE NORMAL KIDS DO.... Pull the other one gents, its got bells on. On the one hand you want to dress your kid...

Re: Children and re-enactment?
Six is way too young for anyone to grasp the symbology and full reality behind what it is they are dressing up as. I dont think people have a problem with the child, they just look towards the parents and disagree with the morality behind them dressing their kid up as a hoolla-hooping, Jew hating Ar...

I'm sure it is something with a little more research Dave can modify. I do think the new look to the website is a good stop-gap from the old one - which was very bandwidth consuming.

Morphine was also a killer as it lowers the bodies heart and breathing rates - and as it was a common drug handed out to battlefield medics with little medical knowledge, its quite probable that it contributed to killing off some casualties rather than helping them.
