Original Dot pattern wrap Ebay

Post by dog green 1 »

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/original-GERMAN-W ... 4aa51bed3b

Listed as an original Dot pattern Panzer wrap. Pics don't look the best so its hard to make out the colours and the size of the Dots.

Seller also has an "original" helmet cover for sale.

The problem I have with these is the seller obvioulsy has a bit of knowledge about militaria due to the amount of stuff he has listed. If these were the real deal surley they'd be snapped up by collectors on either one of the Collecting Forums or at a fair. No Ebay listing fees to pay, no chance of Ebay cancelling your listing and going straight to the market it's aimed at. I also think these high priced "original" items are put on Ebay to try and part someone with not so great a knowledge and thier hard earned cash. Or am I just getting too cynical?

The whole auction is suspect.
One rather poor photo for such a high value item?
The seller is out of the country for the greater part of the sale?
Would you expect moth damage on a linen/cotton cloth? I thought they ate wool?
What is the unusual 'L' shape of stitching on the left breast?

I suspect the L shape stitching is an inside pocket Stig, if not it's a funny shape for a rip?
Is it still for sale?
