handschar reenactment
Re: handschar reenactment
Looks great in every aspect but you're going to hate me for pointing this out. The chessboard patch is Wehrmacht (it says Hrvatska, not Kroatien) The SS shield was simpler without the banner and the writing on it.
Re: handschar reenactment
Shit...thank you.

After finishing with eating my "sarma" I posed for a camera, portraying Handschar Feldgendarmerie NCO guarding the HQ

Re: handschar reenactment
One of the best impressions Ive seen since 1945. This unit is finally getting the deserved attention.
Well done.
Well done.
Re: handschar reenactment
I find these guys almost comical however their gear is superb. A for effort.

Yeah, it seems rather funny when you see a Japanese guy wearing german uniform, but it is the enthusiasm that counts. I would be really glad if I could meet with those guys (although the photos would be strange as I am 192 cm tall and I guess they are shorter
). Overall, it is great to see that Handschar is a worldwide known unit

Re: handschar reenactment
I wonder if their group is still around. They commissioned a reproduction Panzer 4 here in the Philippines (saw it standing in a machine shop a few years ago) but sadly it disappeared before i was able to ask about it. They certainly take their reenacting seriously.
Re: handschar reenactment
My group is looking forward to do Handschar photo sesion this year. We still gather proper equipment. We do have styrian gaiters and fez for now. I will post some photos soon.
