The first pic of a Barry Lyndon is a great smock for the price, not bad a pattern. The last 3 pics are not worth buying IMO, they're splinter A. Spend a few more quid and get the Barry Lyndon.

Cheers

Who is/was Tom Gulliver? Ive heard his name/smocks mentioned but ive no idea what folk are talking about.

Ive put an impression together (for dog walking), i got my jump trouser and bluse from Richard U (fantastic quality Bluse) but my smock is a barry lindon plain green early one, no cammo, no problem!
I dont wear jump boots, dice shakers instead! Oh and 43 cap! Right I'm of to Son, anyone coming?

Tom has re-enacted FJ since the 70s I believe, when jumpsmocks were cut down Dutch overalls. He gets his own material printed and makes the smocks himself, they're one-offs and very hard to come by and expensive when you do.

Darrens correct with the above statment, Tom had bolts of cloth printed many years ago and it is perfect. But unfortunately Tom refuses to make any more smocks?, even if you wave cash under his nose! so the cloth just sits there in his house gathering dust :(

Yes he's still got it, apparently he has enough left to make about 18 smocks and then god knows how many helmet covers etc from the scraps. The last time he made something that I know of was a step in splinter smock for Bob Sellars (which i think went to a guy in your group  ) and Bob had to nag him for months and months to get it done.

Don Calder makes a really good bando, He goes my FJfabik or something close on ebay. I have one of his early type one blues with the slanted pockets. I love it and holds ammo snugly. Unlike the cheap China made ones.
