are you a member of the FJ reenactors proboard (I think you are)? I put up a request for this kind of info a week or so ago, would you mind also sharing this (and more?) on that forum?

Thanks, Jeff

I actually started that board. I put it on there and a mesage to Mike to see if he is going to make 73cm shells (I know someone with a really big head)

Hi Jager Roll,

I thought as much but didn't want to assume identities between the various boards. Thanks for starting that board.

I had Greg do a late war FJ helemt for me and it turned out fantastic. I sent him a teepeka liner. He painted and aged the helemt in a later war slate gray. He aged and added some old Gmax straps and aged an old HKK liner. This gentleman does fantastic work and it only takes a few weeks (vs.several months or years with other artists that paint helmet)

His Email address is GBarr58@aol.com

This is the helmet I asked him to copy (without the eagle)

and here is his work

I highly reccomend him. This is helmet no#2 for me from him . I have another tropical one on the way

I have liners for the 68cm shell (56,57,58) and 71cm shell (59,60,61). They are better than the CZ produced examples.

If in the US contact me at www.FJ-Werke.com

or if in Europe contact Mike Grant at Fallschirmjager.biz.com .

hi mike,

as much as the liners you have are nice, and that i am a sucker for spending all my money on quality FJ kit

im not prepared to pay £296.90 for something that sits on my head and no one can see, it would be like wearing a £296.90 pair of boxers :) just doesnt make sence :) . Now your chin straps , i would invest in, as they are visible.

Thats a nice paint job but the liner padding is completely wrong as are the straps, so a good paint job spoilt a bit by the insides! Also whats up with the spanner bolts or the holes - they dont sit right or are too small or the hole indents are too large!? I know everyone is on a budget and there will always be a money/authenticity clash but these problems are avoidable even on a budget!

I will post a few pictures just for fun.

For what kind of heads are those shells, I am 1.86 meters tall with hat size 59, neither thin or fat, and those are supposedly 60 ?
