svecs boots do not look the same as Joky's,

i am sure the craftmanship is the same , but jokys boots look 100% better and he is the prefered supplier for FJ type II boots.

they have been tried and tested by many people in the UK and around the world. They are the best,

Hey comrades, I recently found a never-seen-before II model boots in brown color at Lomax-militaria.de, only 99 euros; completely not idea of where they come from, not sturm, not cz, really never seen. I asked the vendor where does he purchase these and he was not very helpful...here's pics and link

Sorry, probably my english is not enough to understand such "technical" words...what do you mean by "indent"? The ski fitting?

I ordered a pair of the 1st pattern boots from Joki and can completely say these are the best boots that I have tried on in a long time. I was an infantryman for 25 years and know that to look after yourself you need a good pair of LPCs (Leather Personnel Carriers) to get you around. If only the British Army would let you buy your own hand crafted boots......

Like most people I've looked at the photos of 1st pattern boots and can tell you in the flesh these pretty well match up and would say they are spot on in height and fit. I have tried to post photo's (too big a file to post all pics!!) of Joki's boots compared to my SMW versions but to no avail. The photos already posted do them justice. I can only describe the fit and height issues compared between the both. Anyone who has tried the SMW boots will know of the 'wellington boot' fit around the ankle and the vague feeling of a comfortable fit. Not so with Joki's boots, as you would expect from a master of his craft these fit perfect with no vague feeling and a nice tight fit around the ankle and lower calf. Joki's boots also have over an inch in height over the SMW boots which puts them around mid calf as you see in original photos. I will try again at a later stage to attach the photos for comparison.

I um'er and er'ed over these and so glad that I took the plunge, needless to say I will be splashing out on a pair of 2nd pattern in the next couple of months. Some may say expensive for a pair of boots but you only have to read the comments in this thread about owning your own hand made boots....
