Pannwitz Cossacks...GJ ?

Seems that guy in photo posted below is wearing Edelweiss:

Photo is - as far as I know - showing one of Pannwitz Cossacks and it is all info available sadly

Is that Edelweiss or some other emblem that this guy is wearing?

Yep, that's an Edelweiss, but he's not one of the Pannwitz men; as far as I remember, this photo was made in 1942, Caucasus.
