airsoft k98
airsoft k98
I've been looking to get one and every site i go on they say they are sold out (are they that hard to get??) I dont need a real good one do to the fact that i would prob just go in my backyard and shoot cans and things like that.
I dont want to to pay a lot because some of the prices for a tanka (sp?) ive seen are 400! i can get a real one (which i have 2 ) so where is a good site to get one for under 300.

The Tanaka K98 is a lovely bit of kit not just to look at but a practical airsoft rifle. Bought mine second hand for £300 including case and four mags and they do come up for sale quite often. The newer 'G' version is fps limited for the Japan market but can be de-restricted.
Otherwise FireSupport has them in stock for £350 and mags at £35

The Chinese one about to come on the market with undoubtedly be much cheaper but IIRC takes shell loading rounds so won't be practical unless you like scrabbling about looking for cases to reload. That said, if you just want to use it in the back yard...

Rangercamp over on the 'other forum' was advertising his version. I didn't see any price, but thought it looked pretty good. May be worth investigating.

Check out these forums: http://ww2aa.proboards45.com/index.cgi under the Technical section. You'll find that there are a few members making custom built K98s for sale as well as plenty of info to create your own. One of my current projects involves the conversion of a Vz.24 to a springer airsoft rifle.

I know this is probably late for a lot of you who probably now have one but, D-boys have brought out a Kar 98 Springer at £99.99 from Airsoft Scotland.
It comes with 5 shells and each shell ejects after firing one 6mm bb, they are a pain to pick up, so buy loads is the answer.
I found it great to use as you are picking your shots.

Erm .......... isn't it wwiiguns.com that are slated for being conmen who take money and don't provide any goods? They have various fronts in the US, Japan and Finland (of all places). If it's a different company I'm thinking of, then I apologise, if not, don't touch them with a barge pole!
Re: airsoft k98
That looks like them. Does anyone have a good tale to tell on this company?

Yup, Miki Nakamura of wwiiguns.com is a thieving bastard. I know three UK retailers that are owed money by him, and several individuals as well.

I bought the wooden stock D-Boys K98 a few weeks ago from Action Hobbys in Milton Keynes. The wooden stock version cost £130 and looks superb, they also sell extra cases for them at £10 for five.

They must be the lucky few that means wwiiguns.com can keep trading
